I am a visual artist, poet, musician & breath-work practitioner.
I have spent the past 15 years of my life engaging spiritual healing technologies, building community & creating a body of visual and sonic works of art rooted in an ongoing & ever-evolving contemplation of the lives and humanity of Africans across space and time.
The spirit of my work is deeply informed by the Sankofa journey of connecting to the past with the intent to recover memory & lost presence, engage in deeper knowing, and instigate spiritual transformation.
I have witnessed time & again (over the course of my lifetime) the power of art & ritual to enrich, transform & even save lives. This is why I’ve committed myself to ritual healing & creative practice as my life’s work. It is perhaps the most fulfilling & authentic way I know to engage with my community and to make a small contribution toward our collective wellness.
